Do you actually see so many Ang Paos during CNY?? Ironically I don't even see 25% of the passengers squeezing in a MRT wearing red during the festive season.
This is just what I saw at Kallang, all of them (also mentioned as "Red ants" by a kid) are heading towards the stadium for the last NDP rehersal.
Terrorist can set the bull free on National Day, no bioweapons needed. Zoo keepers, be prepared for emergency call back lor.
(For pictures of parachuters and fireworks, check out my photoblog @ http://geckoz-photograv.blogspot.com some time later, haven got the time to update yet.)
GeckoZ: Eh you know ar, yesterday I went to Aljunie, then ar.. Avan: Wait! Is Aljunied! Not Aljunie. GeckoZ: Huh? Aljunied? Past tense ar? Avan: Past your head lar. That place is called Aljunied!! GeckoZ: Ohh..
I've got myself a bus concession like 2 months ago since taking bus is a daily nessecity for me having a damn far campus in Woodlands.
Normally people with bus concession would take bus to school from the famous Woodlands bus interchange which provides a special bus service only for RP students in the morning to get to school. But I chose to walk instead. And I'm the famous Walker, innit?
Everywhere I go, even with friends, I suggest on walking instead of taking any transport if the distance is near, or erm, quite near. People only say, "Siao!".
But well, here are the reasons why I like walking, and perhaps you people, the spoiled brats, or rather, the one who called "Siao!", should read up too... dun say I got things never share.

First day wearing formal in my whole life. Borrowed the shirt and pants from Eeman and bought the shoes and belt few days ago. Went to school for Final Year Project Colloquium.
While I was on my way to Wheelock place for the photography exhibition, I saw this Lamboghini packing outside a hotel. It seems like it's for exhibition too, everyone's surrounding it taking photos and touching it, no body bothered about the traffic and the security guard have to ask people around to give way when cars are coming in. I joined in the party. An uncle approached with his Canon EOS snapping professionally from the different angles of the car. Lamboghini. Canon EOS. Lamboghini. Canon EOS. Lamboghini. Canon EOS. My attraction diverted to the EOS obviously. 25 minutes later, the Lambo's owner came and drove his car away. He saw the crowd, and I saw his happy face.
After moving on, I saw Steven Lim. I walked away. I would remember to ask him how much eyebrows he needs to pluck in order to buy a SLR if I see him in the future.
The photos at the gallery were truly inspiring. "SHOOTING HOME. CLASS OF 2005. REUNION SHOW." was it's name.
Nothing to shoot in Singapore. No inspiration. No clue on how to break into the industry. No professional network. These are often cited s a reason driving talented local photographers to seek more exciting pictures abroad.
Shooting Home aims to change that. Held by Objectifs, Shooting Home is an annual event designed with the belief that 'home' is the first step for aspiring photographers to explore their professional careers.
I'm now more determinded to be a professional photographer. Be it a photojournalist, a magazine photographer, a freelance camera man, or whatsoever. As long as I take photos for life, and live for photography. A photographer, in Singapore.
Went to look around Borders for books of photography, not intending of buying any, as usual. If I've got money, I'll get a SLR first. Just as I stepped into the enterence, a security was apologising to a customer who walked out of the shop. I realized the fact that the customer was mistaken to have brought a book out unpaid. The censor was beeping. It beeps and stops. And beeps again. This beeping thing oscilated for a few rounds as I walked deeper into the different sections looking for photography books. I finally found it. The photobook was attractive, the price was a cold blanket. The thought of smuggling a book out struck me since the censor gone hay wire. The security might not suspect me. But I know I'm old enough to think of consequenses. I don't want to land in jail, or be fine. I rather use the money for SLR.
Thought of going to the FOC concert with Lin Jun Jie, Ah Du and the other singers which I forgot who, so I left Borders and ran over to Takashimaya in my formal clothing.
The concert ended nong nong ago while I was still at the exhibition. Went up to Kinokuniya to look for more photography books. Then I saw this section with books related to the blogosphere. Many different books from different companys, all talking about blogs. I starts to wonder the power of blogs in this era. A tad too ridiculas to appear in books. There was even a book publishing url for the different types of blog, like daddy's blog, family blog, political blogs, and so on so forth. I wonder if they are famous blogs which I'd never heard of. Anyway, I don't think I've seen my blog's url on it. They don't have to pay the blogger for copyrights, do they?
At the instance of reminiscing so many interesting encounter for the day, I thought of blogging everything out at that moment, so I went up to the library. And fuck, there wasn't power supply for my laptop. Bloody stingy.
The crave for SLR is growing within me. I was hoping that at that moment, when I'm clad in the formal clothing, I'm actually working as a waiter few hours ago instead of wasting my time presenting my FYP for a subject that would never be my occupation in few years later. If I'm a waiter, at least I'd have some savings to get myself a SLR camera. But of cause, I wants to return 1000 bucks to my dad for the Canon PowerShot S2 IS he bought for me few months ago before I get a new SLR. I wish I am working. And not studying some super turn off stuff in poly. Just bloody strike me with 1 million dollars TOTO prize, or strike me dead with lightning.
Terry had been irritating me from afternoon till evening, pestering me to go out with him to his cousin's pub for drinks and karaoke. I didn't want to go home late so I turned him down. At this very moment as I walked down Orchard road, I had assorted feelings bothering me, they are more irritating then Terry. I know I wants a SLR, and I know I can't find a way to get one so soon. Then I decided to call Terry and meet him at the pub, I know I need to drink. And in addition, it's free. This was my first time entering a pub. And I'd never go clubbing before. Just a little for your information.
I left home. I surf net. But I never blog. Was too tired after surfing a few sites and doing some stuff. Had a sleep. Woke up today, and blogged about yesterday.
Long long ago, many people used to ask me, "Git, what you want to be in the future? police? doctor? lawyer?" Without thinking, I just said I don't kown. I was only in primary one or two then. And even as time passes, year by year, my answer to such a retarded question has never changed.
"I don't know"
And these irritating pest people started to give comments like, "You should have a goal, or atleast know what you want to be already"... And even essay questions in school are asking silly questions like this. Then, I thought I really was so unambitious... Am I the only special case?
It was only untill recently, after I contacted photography, it makes me wants to be in this particular industry. Photographer is my line. Photography is my light.
I am not unambitious, it was just that, my ambition have yet approach. A piece of shit might just turn into gold, all you need is not magical power, it's the ability to convince people that, "Shit is more valuable then a piece of useless gold which can't be eaten or use as a fertiliser, this heavy mass can only be worn around your body which does not even makes you look attractive to me, you imbecile."
GeckoZ: Eh look at that scenery, quite nice hor? Yi Wen: Nice meh? Okok only leh~ GeckoZ bends down a little to Yi Wen's height... GeckoZ: No wonder you say not nice, we are seeing things from a totally different level. Yi Wen: -.-"

Here's how you can achieve your dreams, with no pain, no pocket or wallet or purse burnt, and best of all... YOU CAN KEEP YOUR LEG HAIRS!!!!!!!! So... what's the solution?
