Singapore Fireworks Festival '06
As usual, since the past 2 years, there will be fireworks @ Esplanade that is brought to us by
UnUsUaL Group Of Companies (a lot of patterns of the UnUsUaL sia) in conjunction with Singapore’s National Day celebration.
I went yesterday, was
chopping a space from 4pm, and waited for 3 hours alone before another photography friend met up with me. Shot a lot, killed my batt just 5 minutes before the fireworks starts (9pm).
Luckily my friend had an extra battery, I shot successfully throughout the 15 minutes.
Going back on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. Hopefully.

What makes me a photographer? Genes!
Maternal side of my genes belongs to artistic phenotype.
I've a female cousin working as an advertisement copywriter.
And a male cousin from another aunty being an entrepreneur sound engineer.
Both in the visual and audial media industries.
It's not how close we are that gave a possibility of self influences, since we aren't that close since ages ago. We hardly meet up or keep in contact with each other. It have got to be the genes.
My mum and 3rd aunt (mother of advertisement copywriter) are both tailors.
5th aunt and 1st aunt (mother of sound engineer) are both hairdresser.
Artistic occupations, isn't it?
Paternal side of my genes belongs to I-don't-really-know-what-kind-of-genes it is.
A younger female cousin of mine is a model working with some photographers in Club Snap.
And her younger sister is interested to be a model too.
I seriously don't know how our genes are alike, but we can really somehow cooperate if interested.
The merging of 2 in 1 genes made me a photographer.
An artistic job which happens to be related in modeling too.
I don't know.
Perhaps it's pure coincidence.
But if you don't believe in ghost, you believe in science.
And if you believe it's science, you got to believe that this is all caused by the genes.
And if you study genetics, this crappy shit here would make some sense to you.
Just draw out the punnet square, and see how it works.
This is probably the only genes I appreciates from my parents, hopefully, nothing else.
