Anyway,再说一次,
我放假了!!!

hmm.. i dunno the pay how much, but i think is about $4/hr..
i wanted the 7-11 job cos it's near my house, and i'm an nocturnal Gecko!!!!
    hhahahaha~~

wah kao, $4 per hour is 少得可怜 can? y wanna work at 7-11? it's near ur place but u learn nothing that would be very valuable to you, someore pay so bad (i think aunties at Maccas also get around $4 or $5 dollars per hour but u got poly qualification and u r satified with $4 per hours?). Plus, if u work night shit there means u can no longer blog at night. u think 7-11 got internet for u to blog there meh? plus, i tell u they surely won't let u work night-shift at 7-11 one. cuz 7-11 is very dangerous at night, same as petrol station. so they then to look for strong men for night shift. please lar, go find something else to do lar.

i hope u get the job that u filled an application form for. Is it some sales job at Funan/ Sim Lim?

If you don't recieve any reply from them, u can consider signing up with a recruitment agency. They are not bad...

And i think working as a waiting person at a banquet is not bad. not that u learn anything valuable but at least u get MUCH better pay, the hours are flexible and u get uniform (sometimes u have to buy ur own clothes for some work) & even free dinner/ dessert. or else u can be sales person at some departmental stores.

or else, go do volunteer work. i think thats very good. i think u can be a volunteer at Youth Centre at Sommerset. It's quite fun & cool. I was a volunteer there before, albeit only for one event... but u can be a long term volunteer. Can expand social circle some more... & I had loads of feebies when I helped them out the other time... i guess that's an incentive.

first u must know the reason y u want to work during ur holidays. If the reason is to earn some money and learn some stuff then y would u ever think of going to 7-11. If ur reason is to kill time, i still think doing volunteer work is better than working at 7-11.

anyway, hopefully u get a reply from that company that u applied with soon!

got money can liao lar~ much or little actually dosen't really matter to me.. but ofcos it can have more, then tt's better lar!?
i juz wanna get paid and stay out of my house. tt's all.
actually u know wad.. there's something to learn in everything you do.
and i think that, maybe work midnight can see chio bu going home from clubbing!!! @_@!!!!!!!
    (no, juz kidding)
i can still blog in the morning wad~
there are some malay teens i saw wrking nightshift in 7-11.
    Dehh! ur hypothesis sala!

application to work as a part-time sales for Apple, the form was signed in Far East Plaza, Orchard.

actually my fren had called the agency up.. and now still waiting for news..
    so.. lets wait.

wadz a waiting person? a waiter?
    how much is the pay?
free dinner and desserts are provided in every banquet issit?!
    tt's really good then!

ya, i've thought of doing volunteer work long ago.. but i dun wanna do it alone.
when i ask friends they only replied, "huh? volunteer work? sian."
wad freebies u get? i din know freebies might be distributed to voulunteers.

well, i prefer working in the night.
so.. there's no volunteery work in the night, and i guess suntec city or orchard road dun have shopping centres that open for 24hrs!
    lalalalalala~~

hmm.. another alternative job is to distribute flyers Door to Door in Telok Blangah..
but u know, my area here is going through some upgrading work with dust flying around.. so.. duh.
unless got lobang to distribute flyers @ orchard!
(tt time i distributed flyers @ orchard for $7/hr and $8/hr if overtime!!)

wah ur pay for distributing flyers damn good! last time all the distributing flyers job that i called up all offer only $5. sian... but then i realized that there are much better jobs than distributing flyers.

yup, u learn something in everything u do. i agree with that but would u rather make use of the time to learn something more valuable than learning how to punch a cash register, scan products and guard a door?

waiting person= waiter. not that being a waiter u can learn a lot but at least u learn how to 察言观色 & learn how to 热气吞声 when necessary... and these are skills that are important when u work in the future. of course u get to learn other things like presentation of food also lah (in case next time economy bad, no jobs u can still be a waiter in some posh restaurant... cuz a lot of restaurants or even cafes prefer experienced people). Being sales person also can learn similar skills and even better can build up ur communication skills.

Also, if u really dun care about how much u earn & only wanna get out of ur house wouldn't it be more sensible to invest ur time on something more meaningful. If u work as a waiter or sales person at least u get the skills that i mentioned at they do look better on ur resume than a cashier at 7-11.

and i didn't want to say that i know many malay teens work at 7-11 because i dun wanna sound racist. u think i dunno many malay teens work at 7-11 at night meh. 老实说他们不是很需要钱so their 7-11 job is just one of their many part-time jobs 就是没色么学历,找不到好工作, 不然就是美色么志气随便找个工得过且过。你常看到有华人在 7-11 当night-shift 吗?别说 night-shit, 连 morning or afternoon shift 都很少华人要做。Also, what i mean that they prefer stong guys to tend the shop at night is if they have a choice lah. If this season no one wants to work at 7-11 during the night except malay teens they also have to sui bian what. but then i think those malay teens is do long term one lor for the reasons i just stated so u prob have little chance to work at 7-11 unless they looking for people.

u no heart do volunteer work one... where got only got frens go then u go one. when i did volunteer work i did try to ask frens to go but when no body went with me i went alone. i do volunteer work is 1) to kill time, 2) to help others, 3) to know more people, 4) so that my resume looks good. all these reasons better than the two two reasons why u wanna work at 7-11 right? anyway to be a volunteer at youth park, u have to be their member which cost 10 bucks for two years. with that u get a goodie bag with many little stuffs in it (can't remember what but i think they change every year ba... i remember two things in the bag were a notebook & a bottle of pink dolphin water). with the membership u can make use of a facilities at youth park such as the library, free 2 hours internet usuage every week and cheap rates after that, use the meeting room for free for group meetings etc. the event that i volunteered for was for a youth dance competition organized at youth park by the youth council and the brand Calvin Klein in 2003. Calvin Klein was launching its new fragrance, Crave, then and the dance competition was called Crave. The volunteers was in-charged of doing different things. Some were in charged of helping organize the whole event, some helped with directing special guests and the participants to the right place (by the way, the competition was open to public at the youth park stage opposite cineleisure). My role was to promote the competition before it started on the day & to promote Daisy Hi-Lo milk which was one of the sponsors, while the competition was taking place. So, on the day of the competition, before it started, I had to wear the Crave T-shirt (ok this part is stupid) and give out flyers about the competition to people around town and persuade them to go watch the competition later. In the end the turn out at the competition was not great because Arvil Lavinge was having a mini concert at Herren so everyone was at Herren. Then when the competition started, I was stationed at a booth next to the stage and give out free Diasy Hi-Lo milk to everyone who walks past & promote the milk. The incentives about the whole experience was 1) i get to watch interesting dance performances while working, 2) i get to amek some friends, 3) i got free lunch (i remember it was a box of chicken rice), 4) we all got a Calvin Klein gift pack which contains a miniature of the Crave fragrance, Crave stickers and postcards etc... of course i got to keep the ugly Crave T-shirt and Crave head scarf that I was forced to wear while promoting the event.

    haiz... i diagressed again.

anyway my point is 18 years already must be more rational lo... spend ur time on a better job ba... if not spend more time with friends or at the library also better than working at 7-11 lah...

oh by the way, if u wanna d volunteer work, let me know lah... i may be returning to youth park... anyway, there's this small organization that helps at risk youths and it is having a flag day in Jan. It's currently short-handed now so they emailed me to ask if I or anyone i know wants to help out on that flag day. I dun like doing flag days but then if i'm free on that day (i dunno yet) i may go help. if u interested i can forward that email to u. & if u need someone to go with u, i'm always around! but i think u r looking for longer volunteer job right? anyways, just let me know if u are keen...

    where's that EQ?
other then punching the cash register, u still learn to smile and say "Thank you! Please come again! =)"

actually i like being a waiter, but i 笨手笨脚,粗粗鲁鲁,confirm kena kick away after 1 week!

volunteer work can be included in resume oso???
y do volunteery work oso muz pay money?!
the facilities like not attracting much of my attention leh, i juz wanna do volunteer work and not go there surf the internet.
but the goodies u got at the end are some attraction for me..
    hmm..

    Flagdays are great!
but Jan I'm returning to sch liao and wasn't sure if i'm free on tt day..
any the way, forwad the email to me.
    tnx!

i also ben shou ben jiao that's y dun dare go apply be waiter...

what i mean about the youth park thingy is that u pay to be their member and as a member u get those facilities and a goodie bag. so u pay to be member not pay to volunteer. but, in order to volutneer i think u have to be a member so... ehrm in the end to still pay to volunteer? but maybe i remember wrongly, maybe dun have to be member to volunteer.

what's so fun about flag day? i think it's boring. but i dun mind doing it for a day or two to help an organization that i think needs help. since this organization only ask for one day i think i'm going... but must see if i would be working or not. anyway, i'll send u the email now... u see if u wanna go. if u wanna go then u reply the email lor.

flag day is boring if that u are doing it alone ar.. but say u are doing with some enthu frens, then, it's gonna be fun.

i've seen the email, so latest by when do i have to submit it??
    when are u submiting?
    i'll notice u when i submit lor?

u do know that the volunteer work is to be stationed at distribution booths & not selling flags right? but maybe they are looking for people to sell flags too. I dunno when u have to reply that email. I have no idea when would i be submitting like i mentioned, i dunno if i would be able to get a job & if i need to work on saturdays. but i think i prob have the answer around 19 Dec... about a month before 14 Jan.
