Sam”
敢问在新加坡有多少人和壁虎同姓?
(最近发现狗狗也姓“Sam”)

如果世上有个女生。。
洋名叫“Liz”,
英文姓“Sam”,

hey i shall be the first to leave u a comment... *warning: long comment*

anyway, did u check this particular post very carefully? cuz no typo wor! wahaha! good job... hope is not i cock eye wor =P... cuz my chinese not very good also as u'll be able to tell later...

was thinking how do i actually pronounce ur family name... i remember i used to come across it quite often last time (it is usually paired up with another character) but i can't remember how it's pronounced or what is that character that it's usually being paired up with anymore... sh*t, there goes my 12 years of chinese... let me try to recall/ guess... it's pronounced as "shen"?

anyway, ur family name is really rare! but they probably have many people with that family name in china... my mom's family name and my family name are really rare too... i have never come across nor heard anyone with the same family name as me in Singapore... but when i visited hainan in china once, i realized that almost half of the inhabitants there have the same family name as my mom... and i know for sure that my family name is qt common in shanghai cuz i already know two shanghai celebrity with my family name and my family name supposedly originated from shanghai...

anyway, what's with the name 'Liz'? Liz for Lizard? that's just a wild guess... and won't be marrying a gal with the same family name as u a tad risky, especially when ur family name is so uncommon? wouldn't u two be distant relatives? i know a "tan" can marry another "tan" or a "wong" can marry another "wong" but that's because those are very common surnames... people with extremely common family names probably share the same ancestors but probably have none/ lil blood relation among them (u don't expect a few hundred "tan"s to be blood related right?)... actually i heard from my mom that some very kaisi families with very common family names wouldn't allow their kids to marry another person with the same family name leh... but dunno true or not... but anyway y want a gal with the same family name? so proud of ur family name ah? i can understand if a gal wants to marry a guy with the same family name (cuz a wife would have to take on her husband's family name by default in chinese societies) but since u r a guy y do u need a gal with the same family name?

hahaha! this is really a very very long comment!!!

hmm.. i din really check my post very very extremely carefully leh~
i think my comp is more adapted to me as it's master so more or less know which word i'm going to use :p

i'm not sure about this: why does EVERYONE reads my chinese surname as "shen"??
it's either they had totally no idea how it's pronounced, or they juz call it "Shen", but why??
    ok, it's pronounced as "Cen(2)"

ya, it's very rare indeed, my grandparents came from some parts of China which i can't remember where and don't know where in China it is~~
now i wonder, why only a small percentage of citizens from tt part of China came to S'pore?

    So wadz ur family name???

    Bingo! "Liz" means "Lizard" =)
hmm.. true, we might be bloody related.. haha..
at 1st i was thinking that the probability of having a gal that suits all the factors i mentioned is very rare, and if i happen to meet her, we might be VERY fated.
anyway, it was ment to be a joke :S
maybe she can be my godsister instead?
    =P
  3. Blogger 壁虎 posted at 8/14/2005 6:38 PM
oh ya, just to add on, my China friends in poly don't know how to pronouce my chinese surname as well =X
  4. Anonymous Anonymous posted at 8/14/2005 8:19 PM
ah everyone read your family as "shen"? cuz I think maybe it is usually pronounced as that when it's paired up with the other word which i was mentioning about but failed to remember.

yar it's a long comment but i didn't realized how long it was until i published it... got a shock myself... wah if only i m so deligent when writing my essays and thesis... but there was this time which i left a 900 words comment on someone else's blog... got a shock too... but if u realized, my comment is so long because i'm v long-winded... one of my trademark is being over detailed and keep repeating myself... no wonder nobody, i stress, nobody reads my "blog"... of course it's also because i dun update regularly and i'm qt boring lol...

o u can try guessing my family name... wahaha... it's VERY uncommon in Singapore... but i guess it's still slightly more common than urs... i can't give u any clue cuz the clue is VERY obvious... whenever i give someone that clue, they surely get it right one... ok maybe i should give u some clue... the second clue would be it's very common among the shanghai dialect... o a third clue would be that if u take the han yu pin yin of my family name, it doesn't sound that uncommon cuz some people have a family name that is pronounced in the same way but is actually a different chinese character. if u still can't guess, here's a last clue: the dialect pronounciation of my family name is "har" and on my I/C, my family name is in dialect instead of han yu pin yin... so my frens know my family name as "har" and i often get made fun of... some call me "HAr, HAr, HAr" and some try to be funny ones call me "Ah HAr"... well not too bad i reckon, cuz i got one fren who has the family name "chew" became "Ah Chew" and another fren with the family name "lian" (he's a guy) became "Ah Lian"... anyway, this last clue should helpd u to guess my family name correctly already! if not, there's the last last last clue (the one which i said is very obvious) but u'll have to ask me for that clue... haha...

o god sista? haha i'm never into the god sista, god bother thingy... although i sometimes wish that i have god parents and a god brother who would dote on me... i see some of my frens like so xin (4) fu (2) wor with god parents...
  5. Blogger 壁虎 posted at 8/14/2005 11:30 PM
wah!!! after reading ur 2nd comment, i fully understood wad "v long winded" is like..
    hahaha~~
i took extra time to read the comments and then found out tt i got abit confused.
    :S

my previous blogging style was like the way u comment too, i.e "over-detailed", long-like-hell essays (2000+ words was my record).
    HAr HAr HAr~~
    oops! =X
so anyway, i tot by doing a chi blog would b a better option for me, so.. ya! it's a chinese blog now!
    =)
*my chi blog has got A LOT A LOT more readers then my eng blog.

i "checked" my dictionary and “岑”does not exist in a 2nd pronouciation other then cen(2).
    =X

wah, all ur clues makes me more clueless.. XP
Please reveal ur last last last clue X|

    i'm afraid of having a godpa/ma.
great fortune comes with big responsibility.
    XP

    i dun mind having a godsis though.. i lack of love~~ >_<

Hmmmf today is a angry day for me... so many things made me angry then when I decided to blog them down on my multiply, which took me 5 hours straight, i didn't plan or made sure my sentences were phrased properly or words were spelt correctly, i merely jsut typed non-stop... so i assume i would already have at least 5000 words, maybe more... then after i hit the publish button, multiply didn't publish the post! and i didn't save any draft! OMG! I was already very angry to begin with and now I'm worse...

anyway enuff abt my multiply... no one reads it anyway... i can see ur chinese blog is doing qt well eh... a lot of people get referred to ur site! meaning a lot of people link to ur site... either they are ur frens or they truely find ur blog entertaining... keep up the good work... but dun ever feel pressured to blog... unless u really really like to blog... a lazy bum like me would never really like/ commit to blogging... but i like sharing interesting links or clips...

o so that word only got one pronunciation? wahaha my chinese no good... but obviously my english also not good... so long-winded and not concise and bad puncuation... i suspect u have difficulty understanding my comments because i dun use commas and fullstops often enuff... and when i type very fast, like now, i jump from one idea to another and lots of typo... so i shouldn't have pointed out ur typos... my bad... but i thought because ur blog entries are painstakingly written to entertain readers so maybe you should complete the job by avoiding typos... i only write boring blog entries and comments that nobody reads so i can't be bothered... i'm surprised u actually reply my long comments... and can reply with such short replies some more! anyway when u see my long comments, it means that i'm either having my holidays or i'm very very busy (supposedly) but i'm procrastinating...luckily i found this kind soul here who answers to my rantings...

u mentioned that having god-parents comes with responsibility but having a god-sista doesn't come with responsibility? that's weird logic, at least to me...
o and i didn't xiang(3) wai (1), i knew exactly what u mean cuz i'm in the exact same boat, feeling the exact same feeling... in fact part of my disappeared blog was on that issue...

as for my family name... very reluctantly to give u my 'last last last clue' leh... but guess i'll give it to u anyway: it's one of the four seasons in chinese... very obvious already... if u still can't decifer it then ni mei you wao ke yi jiu le... wahahaha... =p

anyway i want to type chinese on the web also but computer idiot me dunno what i have to do in order to do so... care to enlighten?
  7. Blogger 壁虎 posted at 8/15/2005 1:35 PM
wah!! 5000 is A LOT!!! 2000 words is already very very very difficult for me to write.
    >.<
hmm.. this kind of problem happens very frequently wan, even for blogspot oso will occur..
it's good to write in MS word and paste it into ur blog rite after, tt ensures that u dont lost ur post.
    =P

i think perhaps u shold cut down words like "the", "a", "is" and replace them with some other "exciting" words to make it fun..
    hahaha!

i don't know excatly how many ppl actually like my blog, but i'm very sure 80 - 90% are my friends!!
    ^_^

blogging ard (i.e. reading and writing blogs) has became my interest..
    hur hur hur~~

hmm.. i dunno about the way you comment, it's A LOT like the way i used to write in my eng blog..
and tt time, i only got around 5 viewers?
and they are all my poly classmates..
but i guess by reading others' blog, they will read ur blog too
(not to "repay ur kindness", but becoz they know u have a blog too! but ofcoz some really really find your blog interesting)

ya, i SHOULD prevent typos from poping out from my blog
(Gecko should be a sacred and intelligent reptile =P)
mayb u should try to change the way you blog and also, READ MY BLOGS!!!
tt will improve your way of a blogger!
(i mean, if u are interested, lah!)
P.S: I love to ans to rantings, no one else toks to me.. tst tsk!

i repeat, Great fortunes comes with Big responsibilites
godsister only comes with smaller responsibilities.. hur hur hur...
Godparents might give you 很大的压力 when it's ur turn to take care of them,
compared to godsister, it's two way showering.
(i mean showering with care and concern, not bathe together =P)
hmm.. i live better in the virtual world..

oh! tt was a REALLY OBVIOUS clue.
    it's "Xia(4)", rite?
i noe the "Xia(4) Yi(1)" hu oways appears in 综艺大哥大
    she from Shanghai oso rite?

I think you have to go to ur Control Panel
click on Regional and Language Options
    navigate to the Language section
    click on the Details button
    click on the Add button
    Ta-da!
Haver Fun Adding All The Languages You Want!!
(but but but.. some computers have to intall the language software 1st... >_<)
  8. Anonymous Anonymous posted at 8/15/2005 11:06 PM
yup, spot on... my family name is Xia(4) and yup tt Xia(4) Yi(1) is from Shanghai... well, i dun like her... she irritates the hell out of me... neither can i tolerate tt Fei(1) Ge(1) too... lame and crude jokes all the time... i thought tt show is only popular among aunties(or m i wrong?)... u watch it too? O actually i watch it sometimes too... tt's when u know i'm bored 2 the core...

hey u r so right abt the god-parents and god-sista logic... never really thought of tt =(

computer idiot me got a lil confused with how to type chinese on the web... so i'll slowly figure tt out when i have the time & mood...

anyway, i read ur English blog lah so i roughly know how u wrote them... yea, i "blog" the way u used to "blog" too... nothing really really interesting just nitty gritty things tt happens on the day tt u blog, with occasional interesting entries... entries tend 2 b over-detailed and long... but i'm worse than u cuz i write in CHUNKS of words... i dun use fullstops, paragraphs colors etc... so hahaha only i will have the patience 2 read... but ur transition from eng blog to chi blog quite succesful! at least, like u said, more people actually read ur blog now... and trust me the effort tt u put in to make it interesting shows... c dun need to remind me 2 read ur blog... i read it often enuff to know all these... but one thing i never ever can figure out... DO U REALLY LIKE LIZARDS SOoOoO MUCH? very disgusting!!! not u, the reptile... but since u claim to b a lizard then u also disgusting la... lol xP

my room back home used to have MANY lizards... very scared... and since i haven't been back for a long time, every time i go back to my desk, a few will suddenly run out and scare me! i guess they were scared of me but i more scared of them! i think they made my desk into their nest or something... but i can do nothing! my dad's office is even worse! LOADS of lizards! i dunno wat he does inside... he joked that he yang(3) bi(4) hu(3) in his office... when i complained about the lizards in my room he mentioned tt he would buy a machine that would kill lizards and wipe out the lizards in my room... got such a machine meh? i think dun have... cuz he until now also never buy... actually i cringe at the thought of the machine and told my dad not to be so cruel la... lizards r yi(4) chong(2) in a sense... so my dad said paint my walls with paint that will keep lizards @ bay but he never did! anyway i also very scared if he painted the walls with ttt kind of paint after i watched the Nippon paint commercial... i think the Nippon paint commercial v dumb cuz lizards will always come right? if the wall so smooth and lizards keep sliding/ falling off them then we'll have lizards dropping down on us from the ceiling (which happened to me b4!!! once when i was bathing >_< & another time when i was in my dad's office) or dead/ injured lizards lying all around at the bottom of the walls! worse lor like that... who's gonna remove the lizards?! ok i think too much, it's not the commercial tt's dumb... i'm the dumb one... luckily over here there's NO HOUSE LIZARDS! Yay! one of the reasons y i dun mind staying here for good... but tt's just a v small reason... eh maybe i should pay u next time 2 help coax ur lizard frens out from my room in future... maybe u can be like my dad yang bi hu in ur room...

i like tt show pretty well, but hardly watch it nowadays
i spend my time on9 more then off9..
    hur hur~~

YOU NEED TO RETAKE 'O' LEVEL!!!!
    PASS YOUR COMPOSITION!!

maybe the success in transition is due to me "passion" in chinese...
i live in this world and get contacted more to chinese then english..
or else i could be blogging like xiaxue already.
    =P

all i did was watch lotsa chinese shows, i prefer shows from hong kong!
    haha!

eh, i write in my previous post tt i dun like lizards TT much!!!
    still say got read...
i like them... mayb becoz they are weird looking and "special" to me.
    =S

i got scared by lizards when i enter the lizard-infested toilet sometimes oso...
    *shocked*
"really got machine tt kills lizards ar???"
    this qn i oso dunno
    :S
mayb machine gun can sweep off all lizards
    =P

i dun do research on paints
    =X

    lizards droppings are disgusting.
    dropping lizzards are WORST!!

i noe house lizards dun exist in western countries, but a lot of all sorts of geckos that consist of those in one of my post links.
mind cathing a cute lil' lizard for me when u return?
    HAr HAr HAr~~

btw, i got no idea about how to communicate with lizards although i did some 研究 on the noices they makes.
    XP

eh i got read ur that post hor... u said in tt post that u also find lizards disgusting but because u r a pervert (lol) u like the disgusting looking reptile! and u mentioned in the tagboard before that u find some lizards cute... omg... so i assumed u like lizards lo... and i assumed u have a fetish for lizards because of the background of ur blog lol... but i like the lizard skeleton picture la... qt stylo... but i REALLY freaked out when i opened the link to the pictures of the different types of lizard species... i didn't even dare to look for more than a few seconds... i just quickly exit the browser... next time i will not click on any new links u put up... o and u actually research on the noise that lizards make? man i think u have a huge lizard fetish... unless u wanna become a lizard researcher or work in the reptile park in future then i got nothing to say...

btw, i passed my compositions with flying colors ok... dun play play ah... my chinese compositions used to be published in my school's publications and i was selected to take part in my school's zhuo wen bi sai... and i got A2 for my GP paper in A levels hor.... so I DUN NEED GO PASS MY O LEVEL COMPOSITION LAH...
    *must be thick-skin here or else this Gecko here bu(4) zhi(1) hao(2) dai(3) xiao(3) kan(4) wo(3)*

so far i haven't seen any weird lizard species here... keeping my fingers crossed that i dun see any.

I got both fetish for Lizards and Chinese!!!
    Hip Hip! Hooray!!

o i'm in aussieland... doing my last year for my Bachelor of Arts (media & communications) degree... but i may stay on 2 work for a couple of years (2/3 years) b4 i go back to S'pore for good... since working environment n pay is better here... but see if anyone wants employ me first... but me go back 4 hols every now and then... u doing bio-med?

wah ur joke about my boring english is very lame... i had to read it twice to get it, after which i didn't even think it's a tad funny Xp

i think if u flush lizards down the toilet, they won't die right? cuz they probably would survive better in the sewage with the other pests... eh no no i think they will drown... can lizards swim?

eh the noise tt lizards make is not like tt one... tt sound sounds more like cricket (is this how u spell it?)... lizards sound more like zhut, zhut, zhut or something like tt lah... and damn loud when they r mating/ fighting... i seriously dunno is which... i see lizard eating insect b4... very disgusting!

eh u r scared of zhang(1) lang(2)? wahaha lol! but i know a few guys who r scared of it la... but i think it's not scary at all.. erhmm except when it suddenly flies onto u (u know those giant flying ones?) then i'll get a shock for a while... i used to enjoy catching them and "kidnapping" them and sometimes kill them la... i just realized tt i'm qt cruel... actually, i do these to a lot of insects... including bees! wahaha... my house used to have many many bees and my sis n i r our own bee killing squad... i started hating bees when a bee flew into my thick messy hair early one the morning when i was brushing my teeth and i had to shake my head like crazy to get it out (i had those nerdy bao(4) zha(4) tou for a short period of time in sec school... dun laugh)... basically, i'm ok with most insects & pests apart from lizards, butterflies, moths and huge dirty rats... maybe pest control companies can train & employ me...

hey, u've got a French reader! i saw from ur tagboard... wah... too bad, she won't understand ur chinese posts... i like the french language... i took a french class last semester n m planning to go france m italy next year... my first trip to europe! but no one wanna go... u've been travelling b4?

Bachelor of Arts sounds so cool to me~~
Is it true that all students who studied in another coutry most likely stays there and work for a few yrs b4 coming back?
    Weird~~~
I tot the expenses there are higher too.. so "profit" earned in Aussie should be = to "profit" earned in S'pore, isn't it?

    =S

    My joke lame?
ya... anyway i'm infamous for being a lamer~~
    Tsk Tsk!!

Hmm... that question about lizard stunned me...
I know that can survive inside the toilet bowl for a few minutes, trying to struggle and crawl up the bowl again.
but but but... i would juz wash them down again and observe them.
after 2 - 3 minutes, they will turn over trying to act dead.
when u wash water down again, the struggles resume...
I NOT SO BO LIAO GO OBSERVE LIZARD TILL THEY KICK THE BUCKET, OK?!?!
(hu noe's how long i have to wait? >.<)
so i juz flush them down liao.
    =X

    I fear zhang(1) lang(2)!!!!!!!
    (especially when they fly!!!)
errm.. but well, i dun feel scared with those zhang(1) lang(2) when i'm outside.
(unless some asshole catch it infront of me!!)

    i scared of bees toooooooo.....
(wadever BIG insects that flys and buzz around!!!)
    *shiver*

didn't the bees try to sting you when you try killing them, and erm... when you disturb their game of play hide-and-seek??
    i NV LAUGH!!
*cover mouth and giggle... juz giggle*

wah.. so far my oversea trip to only to... erm.. MALAYSIA!!!
    $$#%$#%^$&$^&%%

yar i only managed with one short comment so far... and if u've read my comment on ur lastest post, tt should be my longest comment so far.

yup aussieland = australia... biomed very good prospects! i sort of regretted going media and communications... i should have taken pure arts and major in film studies... i wanna make cinema... but media and communications also not bad... i chose based on elimination of all other courses...

yar i very bian(3) tai(4) kill insects... but they are pests wor... i think having a fetish for pests is even more perved... lol... o when i tried killing the bees, of course they tried to chase after me and tried to sting me but i got skill, so so far ever got stung before... and of course i haven't met the most feirce kind...

o i think that phrase is not french... my french is only intermediate level... but i checked 'carajo'in the french dictionary got no such word... and i dun think it's italian or spanish also cuz i also checked... may be portugese (dunno how to spell... my spelling is damn bad)...

hey malaysia is not bad! i love KL! but it's not my fav country though... and i especially hate having to sit the long long long coach ride just to see things tt have in singapore... but I like going to KLCC and Sunway Lagoon! btw i got a relative staying just behind Sunway Lagoon... but i'm never close to any of my relatives... they either in Malaysia or China... and all my cousins either married or already of married age... if only i got the money to fly by plane to KL instead of taking coach then i'll go very often! i took plane once there... cuz emergency... attend my grandma's funeral... usually where got so larvish... no money ah... but then i like eating at JB... sometimes my dad drive in then we all just pig out... i've never travelled a lot also... but i think i very fortunate already... i've been to australia for holiday before (when i was in pri sch), been to thailand, hongkong and hainan in China too... and malaysia lah... so i wanna go europe (france & italy) this time round... tt's if i save enuff... europe so expensive... =( i also want to go Japan and Taiwan! my sis loves taiwan... she's been there almost 5 times alreay! cuz taiwan VERY cheap also!!! maybe u should go taiwan one day...

o with regards to ur last reply, of course u saw the lizards eating insects with ur own eyes! can't be u see with someone else's eyes right? lol!!! =X i also saw lizards eating insects on the walls of my house... yikes...

i wanted to reply to ur last comment sometime next week cuz i'm getting busy BUT after getting news abt the latest Project Superstar results, I can't keep myself form voicing my opinion here! since i'm going to rant abt the show's results for this week, i tot i should just reply some of ur questions... actually i'm just procrastinating la...

    1) i think biomed is very power cuz obviously not easy to study and i know the prospects are qt gd cuz over the past few years (4 years or so) a lot of my frens decided to do biomed just because they heard that the prospects would be good... something like the IT craze a few years back...

2)in media & communications and film studies, make cinema= make films. i dunno y also but for the ang moh scholars, the words 'cinema' and 'film' are interchangable while cinema technically refers to the building in which u watch movies right? but according to the discipline, cinema does not only refer to the building, it refers to the industry. hence, there's things like cinema studies which doesn't mean studying how cinemas are build but how cinema/ films are made.

3)i dun have dictionaries of so many languages... i only have english and chinese dictionaries... the rest are online dictionaries, but i use online dictionaries that are qt comprehensive so they are qt good... cuz i was learning French for a semester and i thought it would be good to have a dictionary but i dun intend to be a pro in the language, so buying a good printed copy would be a waste of money, so i use online dictionaries... since a few of the european languages are a lil similar... they borrow some words from each other, just like how english borrows some of french, i decided to check out italian and spanish as well.

4)KLCC is in KL. It's a very famous shopping complex in KL. It's HUGE. It's like Orchard Road in SIngapore, just that Orchard Road is erhm a road but KLCC is just a complex. I think KLCC has two towers (like Taka) and there's a MRT station underneath it... and next to it is the famous Twin Towers. U should go visit next time when u happen to go KL. But it's just shopping and dinning... As for Sunway Lagoon, I'm sure u know it's a theme park. It's HUGE! I never regretted going... I went twice some more... even though I'm very scared of thrill rides. Maybe for others who have been to enuff theme parks, especially those in the Western countries, Japan and Korea, Sunway Lagoon is the best I've been to. Some more considering it's in Malaysia, it's very good! But, I heard that it's not very safe due to a few incidents... but I doubt any theme park is safe... even Fantasy Island (which I think was a failure) also not safe.

5)i never see snow before... because when i was younger my mom purposely chose countries which dun snow when we go on holiday because she said my siblings and i all very young later cannot ta han the freezing cold... actually i think is she scared of the cold lah... my mom a bit cold cannot take it already... i plan to visit a mountain called Mount Buller in melbounre soon... i have a two-week holiday coming up, if i have the time, i'll go Mount Buller where's there's snow and i can try snowboarding! i've been here for so long but never really travelled around... since it might be a last year here, i think i should go try snowboarding.

6)i'm pure Singaporean Chinese albeit my mom was born in Selangor in Malaysia. But my mom has long been a Singaporean already. And yesh, my dad's a Singaporean. Why I have relatives in Malaysia and China? Well, my mother's family is a bit complicated. My maternal grandmother was from Hainan in China. Then, during the Gong Chan Dang period in China, my maternal grandmother fled to Malaysia with her older kids. Unfortunately, she couldn't take her eldest daughter with her so the eldest daughter was left alone in their village in Hainan for many many years... then she started a family of her own thus I have cousins in China, Hainan. After my maternal granmother fled to Malaysia, the family stayed there for good and my mother was born. Then my dad who was a an engineer on a british ship (he's chinese... the only two chinese on the ship) met my mom then they got married and returned to Singapore lo.

7)hey i like roti prata and teh tarik also! there's an authentic indian restaurant here in melb that serves very good roti prata (all sorts... those u dun see in Singapore), briyanni rice and teh tarik! yum yum... think i may be going ther later for roti prata and mango lassi!

    8) u take train before ah? i never before... i wanna try! like very fun! but will get sick or not?

    9) lizards obviously not pests cuz they help get rid of other pests... they r yi(4) chong(2) like i said b4 BUT they are still irritants that's y pest control companies help pple get rid of them mah!

Aiyah, long comment again. BUT cannot blame me this time cuz if i were to explain to u how come I got relatives in Malaysia and China, i have to ban(1) out the whole family history... and i thought u may wanna know what KLCC is like. =)

    1) i don't know how good the prospect can really be, but ofcoz, provided you did well.
but i guess i'm not tt kind of 料。
I'm still more interested and passionate in Arts ^_^
    photography, music, blogging!!!
    Hell Yeah!!

    2) hmm.. i see i see.. looks like the word "cinema" can be interesting! ",)

    3) can u give me the urls of those great online dictionary??
those i Yahooed and Googled kinda turns out lousy..
    =(
hmm.. i tot european languages were almost totally different from English.
    Interesting!
i love a lot of foreign languanges =P

    4) What does KLCC stand for?
the whole complex is the size of Orchard Rd???
i passed by twin tower in a car before, managed to catch a few glance, but i din notice this grand complex.
hahaha! tt fantasy island is now closed for good!

    5) hahaha!
ur mom scared cold, but i think she really did thought for u and ur siblings bah?
    snowboarding sounds fun!
i dont have the guts to try out
    : /

    6) mayb ur parents are fated to meet...
    is this what "fate" means?
    *wondering and pondering*

    7) wadz mango lassi?????????
    sounds TASTY!!
The roti prata in melb is much much much more tasty then S'pore!?!?!?!?!
    HOW CAN!!!!!!!!!!!

    8) TRAIN RIDE IS GREAT!!!
long journey + beautiful sceneries ^_^
train-sickness syndrome, i not sure abt tt.. it depends on individuals.
    hahaha...
for me it's ok! no.. GREAT!!!

    9) pest control companies get rid of lizards de ar?
i tot only ants, mouse, cockroaches etc are their towkays...
    hur hur hur~~

    i LOVE answering comments!!!!
but i only scared answering long comments takes up too much time...
then i wun b able to reply when i'm bz..
    >_<

i'll try my v best to keep this short.

1)y then did u not do a Arts related course? maybe u could have done Music or get a commercial diploma in photography. I interested in photography and other camera work too but dun think i'm passionate enuff to follow through.

    3) one such online dictionary(the best i've got so far): http://www.wordreference.com/

European languages are very diff from English but if u realize, qt a number of English words r actually French words i.e cafe, voila, faux pas...

4)Can't remember what KLCC stands for. No, it's not as big as the entire Orchard Road. What i meant was it's like the nature of Orchard Road -- a popular shopping area in KL. Would say it's slightly bigger than Taka maybe?

    5) of course my mom tot for my siblings & i too... but more like excuses la. anyway countries with snow more ex and also need to spend more on warm clothings.

I also no guts to try snowboarding actually. I dun like sports and I'm scared of height (i take escalator also scared) but saw a video on snowboarding recently can decided I should just try cuz looked so cool!

    6) dunno is it fate or not but i do believe in fate. i believe that we have control over our lives but things like when/ how we die and who we marry/ married to are all pre-arranged by heaven

7)yar, the roti prata here tast better... but i only tried one shop here b4 (there aren't many in the first place and this is known to be the best) in SIngapore I also only tried a few shops so maybe i didn't get to eat the better ones in SIngapore. But there is definitely more variations of prata here. Next time if I take photo I show you... haha. Mango Lassi is a drink/ dessert. It's plain yogurt blended with mango pulp so the drink is a thick drink like milkshake with mango and yogurt taste! i dun eat yogurt one but mango lassi very good! but i still prefer teh tarik.

8)wah i also wanna take train... i watch TV always see those train in eurpoean countries that pass through nice sceneries and inside the train got bunks to sleep in and nice breakfast. dun think i'll get sick cuz i already survived travelling on Great Ocean Road recently (a very famous torist attraction in Melbourne with VERY long and windding road... a few of the people on my coach got sick and puked luckily i never).

9)yar they got get rid of lizards too!

eh got improve this time round. comment is now much concise! =)
  22. Blogger 壁虎 posted at 8/20/2005 12:31 AM
wow~ finally indeed, a very short and sweet comment!

    1) i din realise that i was V interested in photography and music back then... it was after i came to poly..
and mainly becos of the fact that i can't catch up with my science module and i'm doing real badly..
(i did my best for sci and math in my 'O' Level.. i scored A1.. as u see, i used past tense... so.. ya..)

    3) Wow! i've been to the recommanded website!
It's great, i get the verbs, the nouns, the adjective etc etc... Excellent!
    Thnks Again!

    4) ohh.. so KLCC is not tt huge... hur hur hur~~
i got shocked at 1st.. damn sua ku!!

    5) hmm.. ya, going for holidays in the 1st place is already spending a lot extra money...
provided you can afford to exchange some money for the joy and fun~~

i'm a bit scared of height too.. i don't dare to stand near the river in Clark Quey where the metal chains is the only border between the land and the sea
    >_<
and i get this "butt-feeling" when i standing at high areas looking down (when the thing tt's preventing the fall is low)

    6) are u a Christian?

    7) Mango lassi dont't sound like an Indian food to me, more like wastern food...
    >_<
so far i heard of new pratas like tissue prata (thin like tissue, crisppier then 紫菜), cheese prata, chocolate prata (haven't tried), banana prata (also haven't tried), and i can't remember what else.. they are sold in my sch!
    hur hur hur...
(but i hardly take a lunch of my craving food cos the queue is ALWAYS long....

    8) i think i'd love the GOR too!
    rides are the best!!
    oh.. i love walking too...
had been walking from Wisma to Esplanade... and ofcos walked to and fro at a lot of places too...
cool breeze, nice scenery, beautiful sky, green trees, all sorts of people etc etc..
    hur hur hur~~~

    9) lizards will not be extinct since cockroaches HAVE NOT!!!

    Lizards Rulez!
    GeckoZ
  23. Anonymous Anonymous posted at 8/20/2005 6:05 AM
Thanx hahaha i'll keep everything short from now onwards.

    1) seems like someone is encountering the same problem as me. i'm not catching with my modules too. too far, yesh i stress, too far behind already until i think i took the wrong course. like u i was much better in my maths & sciences too but i got lazy & my grades suffered then i realized tt my languages were not tt bad too & media sounds interesting so i did media but seriously, i'm better cut out for maths & sciences i think.

    3) glad i made a good recommendation. i like the way the site provides the verb, adjective etc form of a word and provide related phrases too. plus it's a dictionary tt does two-way translation & can do so for 3 different european languages!

    5) wah like me! i also scared when i stand near the river! but like walking by/ dining al fresco by the river so romantic!

    6) me is a freethinker but mom is a buddhist.

    7) wah ur school canteen not bad eh! my sec school canteen was qt good too but my uni canteen is BORING, although we do have a few cafes on campus. yar i know the tissue prata, just had it last week! here, it comes in a HUGE inverted cone shape and the bottom is drenched in condesen milk (YUM~) i dunno if it comes in this form in Singapore. but my sis made the comment tt she tried tissue prata in Singapore before & it's not as crispy. here also got a prata that is filled with melted butter, sugar and condense milk (another one of my favourites). also got milo prata (i think it's the same as chocolate prata). also got banana one. then got garlic prata also (not fantastic but i like garlic) and got chilli prata (filled with cut red chilli), even got PIZZA PRATA! i haven't tried any of the pizza prata though. but the main thing i like abt this restaurant is the briyanni rice & teh tarik!

    8) hurhur u won't like the GOR tell ya... pple either love it or hate it. cuz u have to travel on a extremely windding HILL road for at least 5 hours before u reach the place where the scenery is the most breath-taking... on the way u think got scenery rite? haha NO! the scenery=forrest. actually i got photos can show u if u interested. another tourist attraction is so much betta, it's a giant waterfall... i also got photos of tt place... the sight is just amazing!
  24. Blogger 壁虎 posted at 8/21/2005 3:15 AM
    1) hmm.. perhaps if i'm u, i cant do well in both at all?
ONLY MUSIC AND PHOTOGRPHY ROCKS MY LIFE AT THIS STAGE!!
but still.. i can't understand the chim chim terms used in photography and lazy to understand the functions and parts of a camera...
wonder how will i lead my future life like this...
    Woooooow!!

    3) TT WEBBY IZ JUST SIMPLY REMARQUABLE!

    5) wadz "dinning al fresco"??
    rivers give me peace..
great place to be isolated from the crowd...
    1 of my oasis...

    6) are your parents with ya in Aussie?

    7) well, my canteen eat long le oso will sian wan.. infact already sianzzed...
somemore got ppl complain the food are dog food..
**** those ppl hu don't appreaciates it...
too blessed to be ***** already...
oh ya, my sch only got 1 pathetic canteen and 1 worst "cafe" with 1 stall on 菜饭...
    very jia lat wan...
students from year 1 to year 3 will be squeezing in tt small area for lunch...
    >_<

    Tissue prata with condensed milk?
    like abit too sweet leh...
my sch's tissue prata are V crispy!
maybe u should recomand ur sis to my sh's canteen since it's open to public?
milo prata?? prata dipped in milo?
    GARLIC PRATA?!?!?!?!? I'm Drooling already!!
i think chilli prata abit too spicy for me... *hot hot hot!!*
pizza prata... how did they do it? sounds cool...

dum mind post all the photos on ur multiply?
    ^_^
  25. Anonymous Anonymous posted at 8/21/2005 11:02 AM
    1) O same situation here. What I meant when I said I'm interested in phtotgraphy & stuff but not enuff passion is tt I really would study photography or film making if given the choice, but i'm too lazy to read up on or experiment in these areas on my own. So like you say, how are we gonna lead our futute? I guess it's out of pure laziness & not REALLY knowing what we REALLY want. If there's something you that you really want, you definately would motivate yourself to do it. I think now what you REALLY want is your diploma la just that not very willing to slog for it only but at least it's important enuff to push you to wanna achieve it.

    5) al fresco= dining in open air, not in a building (usually for ambience and/or posh dining). i.e: at some Starbucks outlets consumers can choose to sit inside the air-con outlet or sit outside; Clarke Quay has many al fresco restaurants along it...

btw, al fresco is a phrase borrowed from French or I should say it's a french phrase that is so commonly used in the English language that it's now included in the english dictionary.

    6) My parents r in S'pore. My parents so intension to come over. If they wanted, we would probably be PRs or migrated already. I used to stay alone in my 1st uear here; in 2nd year with a flatmate; now staying withmy elder sis, who joined me just this year to also do a degree.

    7) yesh, tt's the yellow rice cooked with spices... I'm told tt it's a lil too spicy for novice chilli-eaters but I find it not spicy AT ALL, maybe just a lil stong on the the taste of the spices. Garlic prata is qt good but nothing to crave for. Chilli prata haven't tried but will try soon. I LOVE CHILLI. basically, anything very spicy I like...

    8) yar last time in JC I also always fall asleep on the bus & miss my stop somemore!

JC was the most tiring period of my life man! Actually, I was more hardworking in my 4 years of sec school (was a workaholic) but during sec sch I stayed very near to my sch & my mom ferried me to sch. in sec school I stayed so damn far away & sch had longer hours even though I hardly did any studying in year two. sian~ sch life is such...

u got 2 more years to enjoy poly right? me only left with one year (unless i do another degree) then into the working world... a bit apprehensive... I really really don't like student life & prefer working (while if i get my dream job it's fantastic or else I at least still get paid for slogging) but working life not tt great too (done a few long vacation jobs & doing an internship now).

I did already post most of the photos of the scenery onto my Multiply site. Some still sitting somewhere in my lappie being neglected... Anyway, you can go check them out when you're free. Cheers~

    1) haha, i love to experiment it! it's fun~~~
my sch is ez to get a diploma lar, no VVV stressful exams, juz weekly tests! >_<
according to my current lousy grades, i'm still able to get a diploma, but if the situation worsen, then hard to say, lah?

    5) al fresco! this phrase looks and sounds cool.

    6) u got 3 sis ar? the last comment u said one of ur sis in s'pore tasting roti prata then now the other sis staying with u getting a degree.

    7) yellow rice spicy, meh? i tasted it but dun find it hot at all.. hahaha..
but i hate the taste of the spices *puke*

    8) i'm in poly yr 2 already, dun curse me to retain another year can?
although it was a gd idea to delay NS... hmm..
i haven't really worked b4.. juz had some part-timed distributing flyers... had no idea how to come out with a resume :/
what should should i get in the futuer? hmm.. >_<
too bad RP got no attachments... haiz..

YOU HAVEN'T GIVE ME UR MULTIPLY'S URL!!!!
  27. Anonymous Anonymous posted at 8/21/2005 10:22 PM
    1) experimenting is fun but like photography, i'm interested in it but too lazy to get my bum down to collect recipes or just experimenting from scratch.

i prefer exams. just study 2 months before exam really hard and can pass or even pass with flying colors! weekly tests very tiring, same for assignments (my course no tests and exams only assignments but they come in the form of MAJOR essays usually around 40, 50 or 60 percent weightage). assignments killing me cuz u never really get the chance to rest. and because there's not really a time limit (although there's a dateline) i tend to procrastinate and be an over perfectionist, in the end never do everything properly.

6)i got two sis only. i wasn't clear meh? the sista tt is studying with me now was the one who tasted tissue prata in SIngapore (she did so shortly before she joined me here). i'm middle kid. my younger sis still very young, studying in sec school in singapore.

    7) apparently a few of my frens find the yellow rice a lil spicy... dunno y also. there's this fren who sweated like crazy will eating it and kept running for the tap. either he really cannot take anything tt's spicy (even it's just a lil spicy) or the yellow rice is more spicy here... but i dun find it spicy AT ALL!

    8) =X sorry, i thought u r in year 1!

resume? it's just abt making your skills and experience sound very valuable even when they are crap (i mean for people like us who dun have much experience. for people who got connections or got reputable internships then will be much easier).

so far i only did 4 vacation jobs & one voluntary work. if u're not fussy, got quite a few vacation jobs out there, esp near to christmas or chinese new year... I worked as out-door & tele surveyor for the old Keppel Bank and Prudential Insurrance before. Worked at Takashimaya's CNY food fair before (sell new year goodies and those stupid jelly that come in molds of the shape of LuoHan fish). My most recent and last job was in taka again but this time selling fragrance at Ralph Lauren. As u can see, these are not great jobs that would make my resume more impressive but u'll just have to crap in ur resume... not to lie but to crap... haha.

Maybe u wanna sell fragrance. not bad the job. it's my most fun job. then in resume u can say u got retail experience (although not relevant to bio-med but it's not bad to have some retail experience). o quite many guys sell fragrance. i dunno y also. thought it would be a job with more females but I was wrong. so maybe u can try if u r not fussy. dun ever do telemarketing or tele-survey though. it's one of the WORSE jobs u can ever do... trust me... I swore neve ever to do tt sucky job again.

oh i think my multiply URL is www.seventhheaven.multiply.com

    1) hmm.. ur assignment kinda like my test, juz that my test standard kinda low, dun study oso can pass...
if study, colours will fly up higher to the ceiling liao~~

i'm also a procastinator cum over perfectionistor, procastinate things i dread doing and over perfection on things i Love!
i can do things very very very well, but very seldom.. hahaha...

    6) ohh.. i tot ur sis staying with u and the one tasted prata were 2 different person.

    7) hahah! spicy yellow rice really made my imgaination go wild! Shiok!

    8) i wun do telemarketing and tele-surveyor either!!
so irritating to get kick out of the door.. >_<
Do sales... my mouth isn't really good at talking...
Be cashier, my brain isn't very good at counting...
As a waiter, my movements looks so clumsy..
    Bah!!

erhm u r not my first supporter actuallie. i had some strangers visiting my multiply & asking me to add them to my network b4... but not many just 2 or 3. they dun visit regularly too but i never did update on a regular basis anyway (probably just a few times a month). usually, it's my frenz who visit but even they also dun visit often haha. thanx for visiting anyway! i just did a revamp by the way so it's slightly better. at least my later posts hvae much less words & better paragraphing.

u saw the GOR photos? wonder wat u'd think abt them...

i must remember to take photos of tissue prata & mango lassi the next time i head down to the restaurant & post on me multiply...

o & it's very nice of u to donate blood! i wanted to donate blood b4 (some oganization came down to my JC to encourage students to donate blood on the spot) but i very scared of needles so didn't. my blood type is also B...

trust me, you will get more potential readers!

    i saw the GOR photos!!!
it's very very beautiful.... i hope i was there
that clear piece of blue sea with some cliff and bridge along, a very nice senery..
it's worth the 5hrs long ride and trees viewing before reaching u know?
(but after 5hrs in the bus, by the time u reached there is kinda tired liao.. rite?)

i like the waterfall @ Grampians too!!
    Woot!
where got such beautiful scenery in S'pore?
    Dun have!

view from southbank bridge is.. mesmerizing..
i like the colour contrast... but from those view abit like the way it looks like in esplanade
    tsk tsk..

can take more pics that are beautiful and historical and very Aussie-cultured next time?
    i love them!

Capture the best angle of tissue prata and mangao lassi, make me drool!

got organisation went to my poly for blood donation too, but i was rushing for my presentation so i gave it a miss.
    =/
i had always wanted to donate blood u noe?
partly becoz i abit 变态 like to see the needles piercing in and blood woozing out =P
i always look at the needles entering my arm during injection wan, hahaha...
actually when the needles go in, it might look scarry.. but the pain is only like kena pinched by 2 fingers.
it's the sudden "pinched" that causes the fear of painess... after a few more trial u will get used to it =)
  34. Anonymous Anonymous posted at 8/23/2005 7:28 AM
glad tt u like the photos! one reason y i like Melbourne is that u have all these beautiful natural scenery. Singapore dun have! i'm not a nature person actually & my outdoor activities = shopping haha but I like the idea of being able to take a long leisurely drive up to places like the Grampians & spend a whole day (or maybe even a few days) over the weekend once in a while. too busy to do this though... i wounder who has the time. but surprising a lot of aussies can afford the time. i think they are those who stay in suburbs/ towns that are much nearer to these beautiful places. a lot of aussies (not those staying in the city though)are really laid back too, like dun need to work like that so i think they can afford the time to visit these places often & relax their day away... but in Melbourne at least u get to choose to go or not to go. in Singapore, u dun even get to choose cuz dun have... haiz.

the southbank river send off the same vibe as the area outside esplanade BUT i think it's more pretty... actually not much diff but the color contrast of the lights against the dark sky is much prettier here. & sometimes the pillars along the river will emit huge flames (i dunno how to describe la... got chance show u photos but very hard to capture cuz the flames come on suddenly then very fast disappear)

yup, i love taking photos of all sorts or nonsense... in fact, i think i maybe having more photos up in the next two weeks cuz going for some event... more photos of food too, i hope.

if donate blood dun need use needles i surely go donate. i not so wei da thinking of save people but i dun mind cuz it's not gonna hurt u (i mean the idea of losing blood), in fact it's gonna benefit u so y not just donate & at the same time save people... but i already decided that when i die i want my organs to be donated to patients who need them... fan zhen dou si le... but provided my organs are in good condition & got pple want... i got a feeling i duo (1) bing (4) chan (2) shen (1) so maybe want to help pple also li (4) bu (4) cong (3) xin (1).

    Great minds think alike!
    i think like U.

maybe bcoz aussie bigger population, therefore if 1% of the citizens were there relaxing, you thought is a lot?
    possible?

    flames as in fire?
    fire-emitting pillars?
    natural disaster?
    >_<
I WAN TO SEE THIS 奇观!!

    photos photos photos!!
    photos goes well with music!
    yeah..
i love editing pictures too ^_^

    hahahaha!
next time u u happen to vomit blood or cut ur fingers or whatever, go save the blood in a pail.
    no need needle wan =P
how is it going to benefit by loosing blood?
    (plz forgive my sua-ku-ness)
i wanted to donate organs too.. (perhaps my soul and travle at a faster speed since my weight is lighter.. tsk tsk..)
whether ur organs can help or not still depends on the doctor, not ur feelings, hahaa..
anyway from ur pics, u look perfectly allright, so sure no prob! =P

oh ya, i suggest u go to a shrink and 摆脱 the needle 恐惧症 in order to save a lot more people...
  36. Anonymous Anonymous posted at 8/23/2005 9:38 PM
well, aussies are well-known for being a laid back bunch & they are really proud abt that. they really know how to relax man. of course there are some who are really hard working & work like crazy but from what i see, i think 70-80% of their people are very laid back (actually lazy but they dun admit that they are lazy).

yup, pillars tt give out fire. It's a bit like the olympic torch kind of idea. But doesn't look like the torch la. they are thick, tall pillars along the river that on certain nights, during certain timing the pillars would "light" up one after another but each of their flame diminshed before the next one "lights" up if u get my idea. when they light up, there's this roaring sound. the first time i thought sounded like jurassic park dino roar. i like to rush under the pillar when it "lights" up cuz very warm... free heating for the cold weather.

today supposed to have photos one cuz there was the huge launch for a arts festival in my sch but i missed it... sian... i like editing photos too but not very good at it yet. i dun mind being a photo/ image re-touched next time!

organs healthy or not cannot see from other physical appearance one. i suspect i may be diabetic cuz my sugar intake is VERY HIGH... i survive on coke (the drink) & i dun eat healthy food... so maybe my arteries (is that how u spell it) are already starting to clog up. i drink socially dun very seldom. i lack exercise & sun exposure. i think the only good health habit is that i dun smoke. but i better not curse myself. but i won't be really surprise if my health start giving me problems b4 i get really old.

phobia for needles is not got to shrink one la. i not only scared of needle, i also scared of the little thing that nurses use to prick your finger to get a drop a blood to test ur blood type. nurses used to use the needle to test for my blood type last time but then after that they switch to the little "gadget". actually i'm more scared of that thind than needles. i think tt's more painful. my mom told me it's like acidentally staple your finger not pain one but then so pain lor! and for ur info, to staple ur finger is very pain cuz i did that accidentally before (dun ask me how that happened... i also dunno). & according to some professional, to cut at the tip of ur finger is more painful that cutting urself at ur wrist. some people cut their wrist to feel the pain & see the blood flowing out to feel alive but those more serious patients would chose to cut themselves at the tip of their finger cuz even though there'll be little blood, the pain is greater. i just realized that recently.

oh donating blood is good for u cuz new blood will fill up ur system when u donated blood... so it's like getting rid of old blood and having new, more healthy blood running in ur body. this is also professional say one. should be true. but cannot keep donating without rest also cuz will fatigue or faint due to lack of blood replenishing in time (tt's y u have to wait 12 weeks).

i wanna migrate to aussie... =(

hey.. the fire-lighting pillars sounds cool..
the view muz be very beautiful.. romantic..

    being a photo/image retouched?
    ???

    hey, u'r a junk bin... =P
mind going for a health checkup? =X

tt lil' lil' thinggy is nothing actually.
imagine cliping ur fingers with a peg.
    haha..
it's not like it's stapling ur fingers.. tt sounds bad.

needles take a longer time to enter ur arms.. like a few seconds.
that thinggy only takes up 1 sec.
    but u noe wad?
it's the 1 sec of feeling that gives the fear...
it's juz tt 心理作用。(if you get wad i mean..)
*compare pinching ur fingertip for 1 sec and 10 sec using equal strength and erm.. surface area?.. u shall notice the difference..
anyway, tt time when we apply for our IC, the SIR sir oso uses tt gadget to test for our blood type...
and EVERYONE have to undergo tt stage, they manage to pass tt hurdle.. so.. shouldn't be too bad, ya?

it sounds so bad, donating blood just becoz u wanna make new blood for urself...
and others using the old blood of urs..
    hahaha!

Dun migrate to aussie. No good one. Get discriminated. You don't know that a lot aussies discriminate against asians? cuz of some of their blardy politicians last time. Luckily now westerners are experiencing the oriental craze so there are some more knowledgable or more open-minded aussies who really like asia, it's culture & the people. but i doubt these people really know what asia is like. they only follow the fad of watching kung fu movies, watch crouching tiger hidden dragon, eat weird looking ang moh kind of sushi, travel to Bali, Malaysia, Singapore, China etc thinking that they are really understanding & embracing the asian culture... actually they are just falling in love with an image that they created abt asia for themselves. but nonetheless, at least they bother to try to embrace us... not like some who really discriminate against us. got a few encounters la albeit all small little incidents but really bu (4) hao (3) shou (4). luckily doesn't really happend very frequently for me but everyday when u r outside u got the feeling that u r being discrimanted if some aussies acidentally treat u not very nice even though they may just be in a bad mood.

i mean being an image/ photo re-toucher. Typo.

i passed that stage of clipping my finger for the IC also... i did that finger clipping thing twice. the first time was for IC & I didn't expect it to hurt but it hurt a lot! the second time was because my BCG got infected & got really gross so I had to go to Outram to see the nurses myself to see what's wrong with my BCG. they wanted a specimen of my BCG! erhm, it was really quite gross... it was quite big, there wasn't any skin covering it... light pink flesh was exposed with yellow puss & some blood oozing out. so they used this special cotton bud & DUG out some of what they could get of my BCG (wonder if some flesh came out... doubt so... how caould that be possible... but VERY PAIN wor! felt like as though some flesh was dug out... & cannot be they wanted the puss only right?). anyway, the nurse wanted to clip my finger again & i cried for 15 min b4 i allowed her to do that. my mom got so irritated with me (she went with me). so she said like staple finger like that. but i still cry cuz i clip before & I know it's very pain! my mom was trying to lie to me! but i also crazy la dunno scared until like that for what. in the end i let the nurse did it cuz i can't be crying there the whole day right & my mom was really pissed.

i think stapling ur own finger is almost as pain as the clipping. cuz i stapled before. but i think u dun get scared cuz u r not anticipating something. u dunno that u r going to accidentally staple urself & u dunno how much that is supposed to hurt. but the clipping u know that ur finger is going to be experiencing some pain.

no i didn't say that we should donate blood so that we'll get new blood & others get our old blood. i mean for those who are hestiate to whether they should donate, getting new blood could be an incentive that they can consider.

is it really so bad about the assie-asian discrimination?
where did you get this feeling from?
    =S
i was thinking about studying abroad in aussie... hmm..

image/photo retoucher is a very fun job, but it really needs great skill..
(i'm still wondering how xx beautify FRJJ's pic... u saw tt post too, rite?)

was ur fingered staplede b4 ur BCG and the stage of IC taking?
ur fear seems to have come from tt 阴影...
how's ur BCG site now? has it recovered fully?
ok, i got curious now... do you cry when u fell and scratch ur knees?
disinfecting ur injured area is actually a lot more painful then puching ur fingures with tt gadget...

hmm.. i can kinda imagine how it's like to staple ur fingers, this kind of things usually give me an assy feeling.
honestly, punching fingers don't give me any of these assy feeling at all...
i remembered i punched a clock (those hung on walls) when i was 10 yr old... the class cracked and some enter my hands... ironically i can't remembered how painful it was...
    (plz don't say i'm brave, 我天不怕,地不怕。。就怕痛。)

    interesting viewpoint that is...
but the concept of getting new blood dosen't help much since they can't feel the goodness of it...

i was kinda afraid of the pain when i enter the building.
somemore i was alone... no accompany..
    and i went in @ 1.50pm when it's closing at 2pm..
so there's very few donors inside..
however right, their calmness affected me, the donors varies from aunties to teenagers, since they can b so calm, then wadz there for me to be afraid of? =)

asian discrimination was quite bad for a period of time here in the 1990s cuz there was this silly politician who wanted a white australia. anyway australians with brains all dun like her... but she managed to reach the grassroots people & the effect was quite visible in some parts of aust at that time. anyway westerners have always been racists since long long time ago... they were the ones who came up with the East-West ditchomy & think that the West is superior... Asia never really existed on its own, it was constucted by the West. Since the term Asia got stuck with asian countries for so long, these countries decided to ren (4) ming (4) & see themselves as being asians while at the smae time come up with the so-called asian values that they believe are better than western values, claiming that western values cuz the society to degenerate. so my point is westerners generally discriminate against asians one. but some western countries do so more. I'm not sure abt other western countries but aust definitely still discriminate asians. everyone who has been to aust, study in aust or read enuff news or history on aust will tell u so. BUT, now the discrimination is not so prominent cuz the aust people are now more open-minded & they are experience fetish for asian cultures... anyway the asian population here is also quite big (depends on where you live) so i guess the aussies are getting used to it, although some of them still dun like but dun really do anything... some more hardcore discriminators may either bully u on the streets (which i kena once), or give u bad service if they r working in the service industry or throw u dirty looks on the streets... some aussie students dun like talking to asians but luckily my course is part of an arts course so qt a lot of them actually r very fasinated by us.

i can't remember when i stapled my finger but i think is after the BCG... it's not because of that i have ying(1) ying(3) la. i just scared... i everything also scared.

but i think i'm a sadist cuz disinfecting wound is VERY pain but while I'm a little scared of that, I like the feeling. Haha... it's like the first time you dab the wound with the cotton ball u'll squirm but then I'll be very tempted to dab it over and over again just to feel the pain. when I cut my finger I also like to squeeze out as much blood as possible... the more blood i see, the merrier i am haha... sadist!

yar i saw the FRJJ pic and what XX did to it. amazing man! XX can go work for makeover company or bridal studio already! actually i dun mind working at a makeover studio... i think help people do make-up & help them edit their photos till nice nice like very fun!

hmmm... u very brave la... if i see so many people donating the more I scared cuz I'll be able to see they lying there with the thick needle under their skin... omg...

i dunno tt i linked my multiply to ur october entry... i'll change it...
  41. Blogger 壁虎 posted at 8/25/2005 10:04 PM
that discription sounds like aussie isn't exactly what i previously thought to be..
i wondered why so many ppl still can tahan and migrate to tt place or do wadever stuff there for a long period of time..

    hahahaha..
i scared pain wan oso not scared of poking tt kind of thick needles just to get my blood out without getting paid.
fear is just a kind of impression that is formed in the mind, i guess as long as this impression is gotten rid of, everything would be fine..

hmm.. i'd prefer squeezing blood from my pimple!
    muahahahaha~~~
(oops, should not have wasted them, muz rmb to save them up for donations =X)

ya, working at a make-over studion and stuff seems fun to the thoughts, but when u get ur hands on, u might think that it's tedious after a period of time.. so, PASSION is the magic word here!
    and I've got it! =D

hmm.. u wun be able to see the needle at all since the comfortable couch will make u slp.. haha..
besides, the needle is covered by something that i cant rmb what it is.. i'm just too relaxed to care about what's happening to my arm..
    LoLx!
(u'll only notice the pain and the needle when the nurses get near you =P)
  42. Anonymous Anonymous posted at 8/26/2005 10:39 AM
i wouldn't mind migrating to ast when i'm old too. but stay in somewhere where there's less discrimination. anyway the discrimination is not as kong (3) bu(4) as wat u think. like i mentioned, it's just tt u know while some assies embrace u with open arms, there r many who dun like u invading their country... just like some singaporeans wouldn't like PRCs to invade Singapore. but Singaporeansa onlt dislike them, never blatanly discriminate against them but some aussies will do thinks like roll their eyes at u, sneer at you, scold u on the streets or give u bad attitude when serving u... but so far i never really kena a lot of times so i think it's not that bad... but u constantly have to remind urself that if u get tt kind of attitude from them dun be surprised... i guess when i'm old i would mind staying here cuz i won't really care abt discriminate or not... i prob hardly come out of my house man... just stay in my veranda and go places like the Grampians... haha... hopefully i get nice neighbours too (some aussies are really nice & some really like our culture so much... one of my tutors is an example... he married a chinese and all he's managzines are in chinese and japanese).

i like the slow pace of life here. last time i used to hate it cuz it's REALLY slow & i liked the city life... i loved to sit at caltex house and watch people getting busy aroudn me and i love cityscape... but i got so used to the slow life here now... maybe a bit diff to get used to s'pore again... i dun mind working here cuz damn relax lo! unless u work for those big major companies and MNCs la... but then i decided if i work here, i'll never be able to achieve much, and when u r young, it's not very good to be so laid back cuz this is the period of time when u wanna do more & achieve more... but say if i go back to s'pore to work, i won't be able to do more. i would only be able to WORK more and whether i'll achieve more have to see how hard i work & fate liao. at least if i work here, I get paid more and I can do more things i like... but then not very good to life a slow life when u r young ah... so think if i ever coiming back after i graduate is to retire (if got the money la).

yup i also got the PASSION in doingimage retouching! i know it's tedious cuz two of my modules last year required me to do a fair bit of that and my internship now may involve a wee bit of that too... but i always get so focused on doing it until i can work on it for 4 5 hours straight and not realized that so much time has passed even though i will complain that my neck start to ache (after not moving in front of the computer for so long) & why keep retouching also dun seem to be perfect. But, i think i wouldn't mind tt kind of job. BUT, cann't do lifelong one... no prospects... how much can u earn? unless u r some famous make-over studio like Chantel Goh or ur company take projects from those branded brands and re-touch their print advertisments for magazines... i think.

wah ur joke on how to save blood very lame...

anyway saw ur new post... erhm i think i remember y i linked to ur october post already... cuz it was abt frens... i also feel a bit similar about the term frens and what frens actually r and means and if i really have any TRUE frens who would go though problems with me or even show enuff concern for me that if one day i just die or vanish they would know... i think tt's y i linked to that post... this questions bugging me since many years back lo. and ur new entry is a bit related to this... although not really...

i think u dun have to so zhai(4) hu(1) who reads ur blog. it won't be ur blog already if it's like that. just write whatever u wanna write. but there'll be the risk of it becoming even more boring (like ur english blog & my old website)... i also wish that people would read my multiply but i dun mean random strangers... if they read good but what i realy wish is that my frens will read, but haha they dun read... they only visit rarely when multiply send them email to tell them i have updated some stuffs (they r in my contacts) and they only read the interesting ones but judging from the title of my posts or photos albums... well, sometimes feel very pathetic, if like that have the site fore what? but i thought i should just do what i like. if i like to share my photos with others i just share, got ppple want to see or not depends on fate. if i dun feel like writiting, i dun write. my multiply is just for me to da(3) fa(1) time... and of course i like to edit images & stufss & work on the web so it becomes something tt i qt like to do although blogging is not my passion or else i would be blogging very regularly.

SO, i think u have to think very carefully y r u bloggin. 1) If it is tt u r doig something tt u like that why bother catering to reader's needs? Why bother thinking if people read? Your focus should not be how many readers u have or whether all ur readers really like ur blog or are they visiting out of some obligations. 2) If your blog no longer means pleasure for u but an achievement for u (u have to write interesting post, u have to attract readers, something like what XX's blog became to... erhm not that u want to have a famous blog like her but her blog transformed from her own lil more personalised blog into what it is now) then u shouldn't be putting it to heart that some people read out of obligations... if u find out tt they do then u should focus on how u should change ur blog... if still nothing can be done to achieve more then it's fated... maybe u just can't write a blog that the general people would like to read. then maybe u should give it up.

BUT, assure u la, i think ur blog pals is read partly out of obligation but also partly because ur blog is interesting. cuz i got an ex-classmate who has a blog. i and another ex-classmate is the only 2 people who visit his blog cuz he was an outcast in class & his blog is seriously nothing interesting to read abt. I'm just a voyueristic person so i just read his blog to see what r his day to day routines... i dun read his blog because he read mine a few times before. and he read mine not becaue i read his. see it's not always obligations and since ur blog is a lot more times better than his, i'm sure ur blog pals think ur blog is not bad.
  43. Blogger 壁虎 posted at 8/27/2005 3:29 AM
i can't get myself to imagine these happening, honestly:
"some aussie will do things like roll their eyes at u, sneer at you, scold u on the streets or give u bad attitude when serving u..."
    not even once.
aussies hu are good can be really good, rite? even better then some asians treating another asian, i suppose.

i think i would prefer to chiong in my work if i really like doing it (since some ppl do the job they nv like).
however if i suay suay work in some boring job that isn't my cup of tea, i would wanna slack, as in laid-back, and have more time to enjoy the nature of freedom, and nature's freedom... maybe i'm juz lazy
    =X
    oh btw, wadz caltex house?

why care about the amount of money you can earn?
for me, i'll juz work according to my interest, even if the pay is low (but ofcoz, have to be atleast sufficient for the daily expenses of the family with some extra allowance, lah!).

the word "lame" is simply a too common that ppl used to describes me.. but in my blog, i'll try my best to keep the lameness low, with occassional erm.. "surprises" ofcoz.
    hahahaha~~

among all my chinese posts, i like tt post most.. perhaps becoz tt's very unintentional, very true, very.. erm.. i'm really at a loss of words here..
the reason why i wrote this post has more or less got to do with tt post too..
    it makes me wonder, again.
    tt's y u found it a bit related..

although i 在乎 if anyone ever reads my blog, or whether they like it or not, i will not change the way i blog unless i really wanted to.
but if lets say no one really likes my blog, then i'll juz start anew, shifting to another url and continue to blog posting wadever stuff, be it offensive or wadever that i felt like..
with disabled commenting, no tag boards, nth.. juz posts.
    =)

ok, i'm now covinced that i got frens that likes my blog, hence i should not dissapoint anyone, especially myself, and keep my blog living!

oh ya sylvia, next time comments for new post plz comment it under the particular post k?
or else in the future still muz navigate to archive post and reply comments on new posts!
